Puerto Rico faces critical challenges both in terms of the environment and human well-being. Through advanced education methods linked to modern research approaches led by a dedicated professoriate, the Department of Environmental Science at UPRRP is the only program in Puerto Rico that can comprehensively address the issue of sustainability development for our island nation. We have recently received funding opportunities for undergraduate students that provide support throughout the undergraduate program linking to career opportunities in academia, government, and the private sector.
