The Minor Concentration in Programming and Computing is open to students from any program within the University of Puerto Rico system. To earn the minor, students must complete 12 additional course credits, which can be counted toward their Free Electives coursework.
Requirements:
- Enrollment: Must be a student at the University of Puerto Rico, in any of its 11 campuses.
- Admission: Apply for the Minor in Programming and Computing through the Computer Science Department.
- Graduation: Submit a minor degree request at the Registrar’s Office before graduation.
- Course Requirements: Complete the following Computer Science courses:

Minor concentrations are not conducive to a degree, so they do not appear on the diploma. However, they are recognized in the Cert. 44, 2019-2020, of the UPR Governing Board, and represent an initiative aimed at enriching the academic experience of our students.
