Short Bio
My name is Milicent Sampson Eves. After growing up immersed in the incredible ecosystems of northern California, I moved a few hours south and got my BS in Environmental Systems from the University of California – San Diego. Following my passion for the intersection of ecology and computation, I then joined the Fristoe Lab here at UPRRP where I am working with large scale data sets and studying the macroecology of plant invasions. I hope to take the skills I have learned here and apply them to protect, restore, and conserve precious ecosystems around the world.
A fun fact or hobby:Outside of the lab you can find me dancing, reading, or searching tirelessly for my next favorite food.

Project Title:
The Distribution of Naturalized Alien Plant Functional Traits Across Europe
Project Description:
Globalization and human activities have allowed many plant species to expand far beyond their native ranges, with some becoming invasive. This study examines whether successful alien plants share traits with native species in specific environments, or if human influence enables them to adopt different strategies.
