Short Bio
My name is Camila Sánchez Torres. I am from Carolina, Puerto Rico. I majored in Biology, at the University of Puerto Rico – Mayagüez Campus. My research focuses on studying the spatial distribution and regulatory roles of Wnt genes on the wings of the Heliconius charitonia (butterfly).
A fun fact or hobby:I go to Marshalls every week.

Project Title:
A better understanding of the Wnt signaling pathway in a butterfly’s wing developmental patterning
Project Description:
We use fluorescent imaging (in-situ) to visualize and identify the spatial distribution of our candidate genes on butterfly wings (H. charitonia)
