TRANSFER STUDENTS FROM PRIVATE UNIVERSITIES
NEW STUDENT (High School Student)
- High school diploma from an accredited institution or equivalent.
- Admission Test Results, College Entrance Examination Board – Students must take Advanced Placement (AP) for math, with the intention of pre-approving Pre-Calculus.
- Minimum IGS of 330.
- Official academic record with all courses and grades according to the graduation requirements established by the Puerto Rico Department of Education.
- Application for Admission duly completed and signed, and delivered in accordance with the deadlines established by the institution.
- Application fee for admission; Students will pay the fee established by the institutional procedure for applying for admission.
- Proficiency in Spanish and English.

- General academic index of 3.00 on a scale of 4.00.
- Academic index of 3.00 on a scale of 4.00 in science and mathematics courses.
- Have the following courses approved:
- Chemistry I (QUIM 3001; 4 credits)
- Biology I or II (BIOL 3101 or 3102; 4 credits)
- Precalculus I and II (MATE 3171 and MATE 3172; 3 credits each) or its equivalent (MATE 3018; 5 credits)

TRANSFER STUDENTS FROM PRIVATE UNIVERSITIES
- General academic index of 3.00 on a scale of 4.00.
- Academic index of 3.00 on a scale of 4.00 in science and mathematics courses.
- Have the following courses approved Chemistry I and Biology I or II.
- Have passed Precalculus I and II or its equivalent (4 credits).
- Thirty credits approved as a minimum including four basic courses with a grade not less than C.
- It is recommended to request an appointment with the Academic Advisor by calling extension 88581.
- The Faculty of Natural Sciences does not require admission requirements in addition to those required by the institution.
- The cost for processing a transfer request is $50.00. The one for a late application is $75.00. These costs may be subject to change, for more information visit UPR-RP Tuition Cost’s Webpage
