The third class of RaMP-UP has been selected by Dr. Jos\u00e9 Garcia and Dr. Juan Ram\u00edrez after an extensive evaluation and interview process of applicants. The post-baccalaureate students chosen to join the new cohort were notably recognized for their strong drive and passion for science and research. Students from a variety of academic institutions in the United States and Puerto Rico form the core of this class.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The following students were selected to participate in the research program:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Adri\u00e1n E. Quintana Gonz\u00e1lez<\/strong>, who obtained his bachelor’s degree at the University of Puerto Rico, Mayag\u00fcez campus, and will be working alongside mentor Dr. Alfredo Ghezzi\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Alexander Y. Ortiz Rivera,<\/strong> who obtained his bachelor’s degree at the University of Puerto Rico, Cayey campus, and will be working alongside mentor Dr. Trevor Fristoe<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Arelys D. L\u00f3pez P\u00e9rez<\/strong>, who obtained her bachelor’s degree at the University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras campus, and will be working alongside mentor Dr. Kelcie Chiquillo<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Cooper D. Malone,<\/strong> who obtained his bachelor’s degree at Grinnel College, and will be working alongside mentor Dr. Jos\u00e9 A. Rodr\u00edguez\u00a0 Mart\u00ednez\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Elizabeth de la Torre<\/strong>, who obtained her bachelor’s degree at the University of Illinois Urbana Champagne, and will be working alongside mentor Dr. Paul Bayman<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
