The RaMP-UP program begins each summer with ten (10) recent graduates: 5 students from local school graduates (Puerto Rico) and 5 from the mainland (United States)<\/strong>.<\/p>

Student selection into the program will be based on three major aspects<\/strong>: academic performance, interest toward a career in biological research and limited or null research experience. Who can apply?<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

  • Students that have completed their B.S.\u00a0in the past five year<\/b>s (after June 2019) are eligible.<\/li>
  • Students must have completed their B.S. with a GPA greater than\u00a03.0<\/b>\u00a0(4.0 scale).<\/li>
  • Students should be\u00a0U.S. citizens, national or permanent residents<\/b>.<\/li>
  • Interested in\u00a0pursuing a career<\/b>\u00a0in emerging fields at the intersection of biology with other scientific disciplines that incorporate computational and quantitative analysis.\u00a0<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

    • Students from universities and colleges that lack a strong research component in STEM fields.<\/li>\n
