Project title: Exploring Cognitive Flexibility and Brain Activity in Adults with Post-Acute Sequelae of COVID-19 (PASC) Using Resting-State EEG and Cognitive Tests
Project Description: This research investigates whether the cognitive effects of PASC in adults are localized to specific brain regions or manifest more globally, focusing on cognitive flexibility. Cognitive flexibility, a crucial executive function, relies on the interaction of multiple brain structures, including the prefrontal cortex, basal ganglia, and parietal regions. The study aims to identify potential neural markers for cognitive flexibility deficits in PASC patients by examining electrophysiological data for reduced wave activity in these areas.
