To earn the minor, students must complete <span class=\"s1\"><b>12 additional course credits<\/b><\/span>, which can be counted toward their <span class=\"s1\"><b>Free Electives<\/b><\/span> coursework.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"p3\">Requirements:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"p3\"><b><\/b><b>Enrollment:<\/b><span class=\"s2\"> Must be a student at the <\/span><b>University of Puerto Rico<\/b><span class=\"s2\">, in any of its <\/span><b>11 campuses<\/b><span class=\"s2\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"p3\"><b>Admission:<\/b><span class=\"s2\"> Apply for the <\/span><b>Minor in Programming and Computing<\/b><span class=\"s2\"> through the <\/span><b>Computer Science Department<\/b><span class=\"s2\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"p3\"><b>Graduation:<\/b><span class=\"s2\"> Submit a <\/span>minor degree request<span class=\"s2\"> at the <\/span>Registrar\u2019s Office<span class=\"s2\"> before graduation.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"p4\"><b>Course Requirements:<\/b><span class=\"s2\">\u00a0 Complete the following <\/span>Computer Science courses<span class=\"s2\">:<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"p5\"><a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/document\/d\/1bFqta9RaZrQ551R_sYC2KfnCV6-zeGuWFNmsuOjQE4c\/\">CCOM 3030 \u2013 Introduction to Computer Science<\/a><span class=\"s2\"> <i>or<\/i> <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/document\/d\/1zj99QPsXcNnuUXFAS1uMxAQU5eLNM0YYGW9_W8ikslA\/\">CCOM 3031 \u2013 Data Science<\/a><\/li>\n<li class=\"p5\"><a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/document\/d\/1talKr3oxZIJLSx3zAHZnQM9HDBaqYwYm7bFZIr_Tnyg\/\">CCOM 3033 \u2013 Introduction to Programming<\/a><span class=\"s2\"> (minimum grade: <\/span>A or B<span class=\"s2\">)<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"p5\"><a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/document\/d\/1Tz4qtb83fumHRK9A1_2jCP3PGXugfDK7pe67NyKOHek\">CCOM 3034 \u2013 Data Structures<\/a><\/li>\n<li class=\"p5\"><a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/document\/d\/1Hioc8kB8HpTd4cwBadBdzKxPGk9WQOdlkoHqDLy7xuI\/\">CCOM 4027 \u2013 Introduction to Database Management<\/a><b><\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>See the <strong>Solicitation<\/strong> for the Minor here: <a href=\"https:\/\/sites.google.com\/upr.edu\/solicitud-grado-menor\">https:\/\/sites.google.com\/upr.edu\/solicitud-grado-menor<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Minor concentrations are not conducive to a degree, so they do not appear on the diploma.
