Investigador: <\/strong>Dr. Carlos M Torres D\u00edaz<\/span><\/h2>\n

El Dr. Carlos M Torres D\u00edaz es natural de Mayag\u00fcez, Puerto Rico. El Dr. Torres finaliz\u00f3 en 1976 su bachillerato en Qu\u00edmica en la Universidad de Puerto Rico Recinto de Rio Piedras y completo su Ph.D. en Qu\u00edmica F\u00edsica con especialidad en Fotoqu\u00edmica en la Universidad de Puerto Rico Recinto de Rio Piedras en el 2000. El Dr. Torres realiz\u00f3 sus estudios graduados financiados en parte por el programa de becas Minority Science and Engineering Improvement Program (MSEIP) del Departamento de Educaci\u00f3n de los Estados Unidos. El Dr. Torres ha ense\u00f1ado algunos cursos que incluyen Qu\u00edmica F\u00edsica, Qu\u00edmica General, Qu\u00edmica Computacional, Laboratorio de Qu\u00edmica Anal\u00edtica, Laboratorio de Qu\u00edmica F\u00edsica y Laboratorio de Qu\u00edmica General. Actualmente, el Dr. Torres es profesor de Qu\u00edmica F\u00edsica del Departamento de Qu\u00edmica de la Universidad de Puerto Rico Recinto de Rio Piedras, ha trabajado en el desarrollo de instrumentos educativos para determinar los errores comunes en que incurren los estudiantes de Qu\u00edmica General al contestar los ex\u00e1menes y es el encargado de la experimentaci\u00f3n, caracterizaci\u00f3n y desarrollo de materiales utilizados en el proceso de fotocat\u00e1lisis, el estudio de la efectividad del proceso y su cin\u00e9tica en los laboratorios de Qu\u00edmica F\u00edsica como parte del proyecto CAHREUS.<\/p>\n

Researcher: <\/strong>Dr. Carlos M Torres D\u00edaz<\/span><\/h2>\n

Dr. Carlos M Torres D\u00edaz is native of Mayag\u00fcez, Puerto Rico. Dr. Torres finished his bachelor’s degree in Chemistry at the University of Puerto Rico Rio Piedras Campus in 1976 and completed his Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry with a specialty in Photochemistry at the University of Puerto Rico Rio Piedras Campus in 2000. Dr. Torres completed his graduate studies funded in part by the Minority Science and Engineering Improvement Program (MSEIP) scholarship program of the Department of Education from the United States. Dr. Torres has taught some courses including Physical Chemistry, General Chemistry, Computational Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry Laboratory, Physical Chemistry Laboratory, and General Chemistry Laboratory. Currently, Dr. Torres is a professor of Physical Chemistry in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras Campus, and has worked on the development of educational instruments to determine the common errors that General Chemistry students make when answering the questions exams and is in charge of the experimentation, characterization, and development of materials used in the photocatalysis process, the study of the effectiveness of the process and its kinetics in the Physical Chemistry laboratory as part of the CAHREUS project.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
