Investigador: <\/strong>Dr. Arthur D. Tinoco<\/span><\/h2>

El Dr. Arthur D. Tinoco es natural de New York, Estados Unidos. El Dr. Tinoco finaliz\u00f3 en el 2002 su bachillerato en qu\u00edmica en la Universidad Colgate y completo su Ph.D. en Qu\u00edmica con especializaci\u00f3n en Qu\u00edmica Bioinorg\u00e1nica en la Universidad de Yale en el 2007. El Dr. Tinoco realiz\u00f3 en el 2012 una estancia postdoctoral en Investigaci\u00f3n en biolog\u00eda qu\u00edmica en la Universidad de Harvard donde estudi\u00f3 Peptid\u00f3mica in vivo<\/em> a trav\u00e9s de una plataforma de Espectrometr\u00eda de Masas. Al Dr. Tinoco se le han otorgado diferentes reconocimientos entre los que se encuentra el Premio a Nuevo Investigador del Fideicomiso de Ciencia, Tecnolog\u00eda e Investigaci\u00f3n de Puerto Rico. El Dr. Tinoco ha ense\u00f1ado algunos cursos que incluyen Qu\u00edmica Inorg\u00e1nica, Qu\u00edmica General, Bioqu\u00edmica, Qu\u00edmica Bioinorg\u00e1nica y Metales en Medicina a nivel graduado y subgraduado. Actualmente, el Dr. Tinoco es Profesor Asociado Titular del Programa de Qu\u00edmica y Coordinador del Programa Graduado en Qu\u00edmica de la Universidad de Puerto Rico Recinto de Rio Piedras y se encuentra interesado en llevar la investigaci\u00f3n al entorno del aula al involucrar a los estudiantes del curso de Metales en Medicina en el desarrollo de art\u00edculos de revisi\u00f3n en perspectiva. Tambi\u00e9n facilitar\u00e1 una serie de seminarios y talleres que incluyan expertos en el campo de los metales en medicina y caracterizaci\u00f3n estructural como parte del proyecto CAHREUS.<\/p>

Researcher: <\/strong>Dr. Arthur D. Tinoco<\/span><\/h2>

Dr. Arthur D. Tinoco is native of New York, United States. Dr. Tinoco completed his bachelor’s degree in chemistry at Colgate University in 2002 and completed his Ph.D. in Chemistry with a specialization in Bioinorganic Chemistry at Yale University in 2007. Dr. Tinoco did a postdoctoral stay in Chemical Biology Research at Harvard University in 2012 where he studied in vivo Peptidomics via a mass Spectrometric platform. Dr. Tinoco has received various awards, including the Puerto Rico Science, Technology, and Research Trust New Investigator Award. Dr. Tinoco has taught a number of courses including Inorganic Chemistry, General Chemistry, Biochemistry, Bioinorganic Chemistry, and Metals in Medicine at the graduate and undergraduate levels. Currently, Dr. Tinoco is Associate Professor of the Chemistry Program and Coordinator of the Chemistry Graduate Program at the University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras Campus, and is interested in bringing research into the classroom setting by engaging students of the Metals in Medicine course in perspective review article development. I will also facilitate a seminar series and workshops that include experts in the field of Metals in Medicine and structural characterization as part of the CAHREUS project.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
