Con mucho orgullo damos a conocer que el Dr. Jorge L. Colón, catedrático del Departamento de Química colaboró, como parte de un selecto grupo de científicos y líderes de clase mundial, en la identificación de 100 daños al medio ambiente ocurridos durante los cuatro años de mandato de Donald Trump. Este grupo redactó el “Restoration Project: Reversing The Environmental Harms of the Trump Administration” cuya intención fue la de proporcionarle al equipo de transición y a la administración del presidente Biden una lista investigada, curada y priorizada de los daños ambientales más críticos junto a posibles acciones tácticas para revertir la degradación de la protección ambiental y la administración de tierras y agua, reiniciar políticas ambientales fundamentales, fuerza laboral, ciencia y programas de participación pública, y restaurar el compromiso federal con la protección ambiental, las tierras y administración del agua.
