The Río Piedras Campus of the University of Puerto Rico is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE). The Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) is a degree program that has been accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND), since 1999; it is part of the Nutrition and Dietetics Program of the College of Natural Sciences. In February 2018, ACEND placed the program on probation. During the probation period, every student in the program is still part of an accredited program eligible to apply for a boarding program and a national exam. The program will be evaluated again by ACEND between January and April 2019.
