Workshop: Finding Yourself and Planning for Your Caree

For the first time in Puerto Rico, the Assistant Deanship of Graduate Studies and Research in partnership with the American Chemical Society is hosting a workshop: Finding Yourself and Planning for Your Career to help students work on  their Individual Development Plan.

Time:  9 am – 1 pm

After completing this workshop, you will be able to –

  • Identify and describe your values and strengths in terms of employability
  • Compare and contrast job market outlook and skillsets in the four sectors of chemistry: industry, academia, government, and self-employment
  • Describe the purpose of networking and apply questioning strategies to engage in effective networking
  • Discover which chemistry sector best matches your values and strengths
  • Use your individual development plan to identify and maximize your career “sweet spot”

The workshop will start with light refreshments and include lunch. Please confirm your participation  at no later than Wednesday, December 6.
